Creatine is a metabolite found in the body, which is composed of 3 amino acids: 1-methionine, 1-arginine and 1-glycine. It is found in the skeletal system in 2 forms, creatine phosphate and free chemically unbound creatine. Creatine monohydrate has been clinically used in improving plasma creatine concentrations by as much as 50%. Creatine is found naturally in red meats and some types of fish. The biggest reason why creatine supplementation is necessary for some athletes is because the creatine content found in these foods is usually destroyed when cooking the meats. Supplementing with creatine allows the athletes to get the correct dosage and compensate for what is lost when cooking meats.

This years French Open will once again begin on a Sunday. May 25th is the start date and the schedule should see some top early matches on the two show courts of Philippe Chatrier and Suzanne Lenglen courts. The question that most are asking is will Roger Federer be able to win the French Open or will he follow the same path as a former great in Sampras who was unable to win the French Open. The title of being the greatest of all time surely can only be given to a player who has excelled in all four majors. Like most, I believe that Federer probably has his best chance of winning the French Open over the next two to three years before the next generation of players lead by Djokovic come through.

The popularity of ice hockey has increased dramatically in recent years. It has traditionally been seen as a sport best suited to the colder climates of countries like Canada. But in the last few years, other countries like the United States have become hooked on the game too. In fact, the NHL which used to be a Canadian stronghold has become dominated by American teams.

In these current times within the United States, it seems to be rather hard to find any part of the body that gets more attention than the abdominal muscles. Many people either admire those with nicely ripped six pack abs or instead would like them for themselves. America's obsession with great abs can be seen in videos, advertisements, billboards, movies and more. It's somewhat hard to go a day without saying nicely cut abs someplace in the media.

What are some of steps of building large muscles? Maybe just eating a couple cans of tuna and some skinless chicken breast will make the difference, not to mention buying a spa membership and going a couple times a week for a light workout will do the trick? I really wish it was that easy, but I do have a few simple steps to help getting those big muscles. Compound Exercises are a must! Here are a couple of basic bodybuilding questions. What is going to isolate more muscle fibers? A bench press or cable cross over? A military press or lateral raise?

This is the ideal scenario as a female bodybuilder to be in, maximum hypertrophy. This is when our body is in a state where it is rebuilding tissue as much as possible, making your muscles even bigger. It's hard to achieve, but definitely worth pursuing. The majority of time in which hypertrophy occurs is when you're asleep. This is the time when our bodies do all the major repairs from all the work we did that day. If you sleep only 5-6 hrs a night, than you're not going to get the most hypertrophy. You need at least 8-9 hrs solid every night.

Watch the Player, Not the Play - When the hockey player you're taking off is nearing the end of their shift, keep a close eye on him. Watch him wherever he goes on the ice. Don't take your eyes off him. When your player makes his move to change on the fly, it is up to you to be ready. Not having a drink of water, not tying your skate, and not watching the play at the other end of the hockey rink. Be ready........

The key to hitting a great shot in tennis is preparation. If a player is unprepared for a shot, the ball will not go where they expect. In fact, the result may be an out of control shot. This article addresses preparation and the importance of a split step. For those players that are unfamiliar with the split step, I will give an in-depth explanation and talk about when it should be used.

When is the best time to throw the curve? When you are ahead of the count with one or two strikes on the batter or surprise the batter by throwing it your first pitch. I only recommend throwing the Curveball the first pitch if you have excellent command and can throw it for a strike. You always want to start the count in your favor.

You can throw the Curveball one of two ways as far as the location of the pitch is concerned. One, you can start the Curveball out in the strike zone and throw it into the dirt hoping the batter will fish for it. Or two, you can start it out as a ball and have it drop into the strike zone. If the batter doesn't swing, it is a strike, and if he does he misses it or grounds out. I prefer the ground out personally so I can throw fewer pitches per inning. When a starting pitcher performs, he should plan on throwing the whole game if he is on a five day rotation; first pitch ground outs are ideal for me.

How to play baseball catcher and to be an effective and productive teammate on a winning team requires skills, ability and capabilities quite different than the other defending position players. What would you guess would be some of the prime characteristics, needed for a catcher, which are not an absolute need for playing the other baseball positions? Maybe we could list a few and then try to back them up with some further meaning and insight for all to understand:
